Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said that all temporary employees of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will be regularised. He was addressing a felicitation program organized by the Municipal Corporation for timely payment of salaries to the employees of MCD. Kejriwal said that the employees of the MCD have been getting their salaries on time for the last two months and the tax collection of the municipal corporation has also increased as an honest system is ruling here.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also handed over the certificates of regularization to 317 employees. Kejriwal said that MCD employees and officers will make Delhi the cleanest city in the country in the next two-three years. He said that the people of Delhi would be associated with the ongoing cleanliness drive in the national capital and it would be made neat and clean in the next few months. Mayor Shelli Oberoi and Urban Development Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj were also present at the event. During the program organized at Tyagraj Stadium in Delhi, CM Arvind Kejriwal said that all the dreams we had seen about the corporation, all the guarantees we had given, will be fulfilled. I congratulate those 317 employees who are going to be regularized today and are getting appointment letters. Rest of the employees will also be regularised.
After 13 years everyone got salary together on one date
CM Arvind Kejriwal said that I am very happy that for the last two months, all the employees of the corporation get their wages on one date of the month. I am told that this happened earlier in 2010, when all MCD employees were paid on the first of the month. Now after 13 years it has happened that everyone has got the salary together. I congratulate all the employees for this. Even today all the same employees are there. That is the Municipal Corporation, that is the right. Nothing has changed except the government in the Municipal Corporation. Now an honest government has come in the Municipal Corporation.
