The Congress has made a big claim regarding the expenditure incurred on CM Kejriwal’s residence. Accusing the CM, the Congress said that Rs 171 crore, not Rs 45 crore, was spent on his residence.
Congress leader Ajay Maken has targeted Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by holding a press conference today. He said that Kejriwal wears oversized clothes, one rupee pen and slippers to show himself as a common man. Maken claimed that not Rs 45 crore but Rs 171 crore was spent for the CM residence.

He said that to increase the CM’s residence, houses were demolished by the authorities and 21 flats were purchased for him in the CWG sports village. Maken further said that their cost is 6 crores per flat, so this expenditure should also be added to the expenditure of Kejriwal’s palace. Making a serious allegation, he said that there was no mention of the expenditure of 45 crores or 171 crores on the CM residence in the budget.
The Congress leader said that the AAP government, flouting the rules, demolished the heritage building and made it a two-storey building. During this, 28 trees were cut.
