Delhi liquor scam: Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia appeared in Rouse Avenue Court on Wednesday in a case related to Delhi Liquor Policy. The court has directed to complete the investigation of documents related to the charge sheet before the next hearing. Now a separate hearing will be held in Rouse Avenue Court on 22nd December. During the hearing, the counsel for Sisodia and other accused raised questions on the documents given by the CBI.

The lawyer of the accused said that the pages are not numbered correctly on the documents and the documents have been given to us without pagination. There are thousands of pages of documents. Documents without pagination make it difficult for us to examine them. The counsel for the accused has demanded paginated copies of the documents. At the same time, CBI said that the trial is being delayed by the lawyer of the accused. After hearing both the sides, the court fixed the next hearing of the case for December 22.

While hearing the case, Special Judge MK Nagpal had said that the Enforcement Directorate will have to file several documents for the accused. The court said that compliance with Section 207 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) should be completed as soon as possible so that the hearing of the case can begin.

Court issued notice to ED

Along with this, the court had also issued notice to ED and listed the case for November 24 to hear arguments on Vinay Babu’s interim bail plea. Let us tell you that Vinay worked as a general manager in a liquor company and he was arrested by ED in November last year.

When was Sisodia arrested

Let us tell you that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has accused the former Deputy Chief Minister of corruption in liquor policy.
