Ravikant Singh Rajput-Manendragarh. Chirmiri Municipal Corporation, which falls under Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district of Chhattisgarh, has always been surrounded by controversies. According to the information received from RTI, the contractor has not got the drain constructed in Fan Dafai of Haldibari but has already drawn the bill a year ago.
Let us tell you that the work of construction of fan treatment drain in Municipal Corporation Chirmiri was approved in the year 2019 itself. But the contractor did not get the drain constructed and in 2022 withdrew the bill for the drain construction amounting to about Rs 92 thousand. Pramod Yadav of Pankha Dafai made this disclosure by filing RTI. After receiving the information, there has been no response from the corporation administration. Also, the RTI activist has written an application to the Commissioner for investigation.
When top officials of the corporation administration were contacted in this regard, the officials did not respond. At the same time, former mayor of Municipal Corporation Chirmiri and veteran Congress Party leader K Domru Reddy has launched a scathing attack on the Municipal Corporation officials, accusing them of corruption. Now it remains to be seen whether, after the case of fraud comes to light, the corporation administration, district administration and concerned officers will take any action or will cover up the entire matter and put it on the back burner.
