Kotwars were not paid salaries even during Rakshabandhan, the main festival of brother-sister relations. Due to which the distressed Kotwars have submitted a memorandum to the Khargwan SDM and Tehsildar demanding payment of their pending salaries. Through their memorandum, the Kotwars said that if their salaries are not paid within the next 3 days, then all the Kotwars will sit on a hunger strike from Monday.
Former MLA targeted the government
During this time, former MLA Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, who came to lead the Kotwars, surrounded the government and said that there was a BJP government for 15 years but the salaries of the Kotwars were never stopped in this way. Today you can imagine how the family of Kotwars, who get Rs 4500 per month, would be surviving for the last 6 months. Today all the Kotwar families are facing the problem of survival. Every Kotwar is forced to support his family by borrowing goods from shops. While on one hand Bhupesh government is talking about increasing the salary of Kotwars to Rs. 6 thousand, on the other hand it is sad that Kotwars are not getting salary even at their old rate.
Kotwars gave three days ultimatum
Regarding this entire matter, Kotwar Sangh President Ram Prakash said that even before this, we had appealed to MLA Vinay Jaiswal and officials several times for salary payment, but no one understood our problems. Didn’t make any effort. We all Kotwar are sad and have been forced to take this step today. If our salaries are not paid in the next 3 days, we will all be forced to go on hunger strike Kotwar. During this, BJP Kharagwan Mandal President Ramlal Sahu, Kisan Morcha State Working Committee member Dhananjay Pandey, Kotwar Ram Bharos, Dhani Ram, Udit Narayan, Ramlal, Sanjay Padwar, Pratap, Sukhram, Rambaran, Ramnarayan and all the Kotwars were present.
