Bilaspur. The abortion case of a 16-year-old pregnant student reached the High Court in Bilaspur, the jurisdiction of Chhattisgarh. In this case, the Chhattisgarh High Court has ordered for abortion. Along with this, to get the accused punished, he has also been asked to get the DNA of his fetus done. This entire matter pertains to Rajnandgaon district.

In fact, a class X student studying in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district has become pregnant. In this case, her father filed a petition in the High Court to get his daughter aborted under the Termination of Pregnancy Act. In this, he sought permission for abortion for the better future of his minor daughter.

Abortion can be done within 25 weeks

Tell that, during the last hearing of this case, CMHO Rajnandgaon was asked to present the report after conducting a medical examination of the student. Medical report of the girl student was presented after the order of the court. The team of doctors said that abortion of any woman can be done within 25 weeks. There will be no danger to the life of the pregnant woman.

Court orders for abortion

After this, the hearing of this case took place on Monday in the vacation court of Justice Rakesh Mohan Pandey. The petitioner referred to the orders of the Supreme Court and the High Court and sought permission for abortion on the basis of medical reports. After this, the court allowed Rajnandgaon CMHO to get the pregnant student aborted on June 2. Also ordered to keep the fetus safe for DNA test.

Through mobile, the class X student befriended Khem Singh Sahu of Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh. Friendship turned into love and the matter reached the promise of marriage. Last December, Khem Singh came to meet the girl and took her away with him. Distressed by the sudden disappearance of the girl, the relatives lodged a report at the police station.

After registering a complaint, the police nabbed the accused and handed over the minor to his relatives. The girl told that she was raped, so the police registered a case under the POCSO Act along with kidnapping. But during this time the girl became pregnant, due to which the troubled father approached the court.
