This is the home district of many senior leaders of the state, yet the connectivity there is still not good. But with Vishnudev Sai becoming the Chief Minister, it seems that the roads of this district will also start shining.
According to official information, work has already started in this direction. A team of National Highway officials along with a Secretary level officer of the Surface Transport Department has reached Jashpur from the country’s capital Delhi to inspect the roads of Jashpur district. This team, which arrived with a convoy of 20-22 vehicles, along with seeing the roads around the Chief Minister’s home village Bagiya, is also investigating why NH 43, which has been under construction for the last 10 years, is not yet completed. Jashpur is not in the priority of governments
It has been 23 years since Chhattisgarh became a separate state, but it seems that Jashpur district has still not been included in the priority list of the state government. Perhaps that is why today if someone wants to go from the capital to Jashpur, he has to discuss with many people about the route and which medium would be appropriate to go. It is noteworthy that a 100 km patch from Raigarh to Kunkuri on the way to Jashpur is being constructed for the last 10 years. And till now it has not been completed. A 40 kilometer four lane road has been built from Kunkuri to Jashpur. If the 100 km road between Raigarh and Kunkuri is completed, it will become easier for people going to Jashpur from Raipur or other parts of the state.
God is the owner of the road from Raigarh to Jashpur
As of now, the most direct route to Jashpur is via Raigarh, Dharamjaigarh, Kunkari, Pathalgaon and then Jashpur. There is a four lane road from Raipur to Raigarh. But the situation ahead is very dire.
Even on Ambikapur-Jashpur road one has to find road amidst potholes.
The other route to reach Jashpur goes through Ambikapur. From Raipur one has to go to Bilaspur, Korba and Ambikapur. The condition of this road also cannot be considered good. Even if you somehow reach Ambikapur, the road beyond that to Jashpur will not be easy. Here too the situation is like finding a road amidst potholes. However, now that Vishnudev Sai has become the CM, the way the National Highway officers have shown alertness has raised hopes that it will definitely become easier to reach Jashpur in the next six months, if not two months.
