In fact, after the news of closure of the canal passing behind the newly built colony in village Bharuwadih by Shree Cement plant in Balodabazar district with an iron gate, now the plant managers swung into action. This gate has been opened on Friday. Along with this, its key has been handed over to the officials of the Water Resources Department. Now the villagers can move easily with this.
It may be noted that the Shree Cement plant has been constructed in the residential colony village Bharuwadih. Behind this colony, there is a subsidiary canal of number 9 that comes out of the Balodabazar branch canal. About 3-4 months back, the canal was closed by putting gates at both the ends on behalf of the plant manager. The said canal is used by farmers and villagers for movement in their village Thelki, Puran fields. At the same time, cattle are also taken to drink water in the pond located in village Bharuwadih. At present, due to the installation of gates, the villagers and cattle had to roam around in the fields.
