Deepak Mittal-Balod. In the Balod district of Chhattisgarh, groups of elephants are continuously creating havoc. In village Barhi, around 9 o’clock in the night, the toothy elephant reached the village, due to which there was a stir in the area. As soon as the information was received, the forest staff reached the spot. At present the tusk elephant has not caused any harm. Forest staff has issued alert in areas like Para, Swaram Resort, Barhi, Kande, Naragaon, Kinargondi, Narra, Ranimai Temple etc.

At the same time, in Pendra too, a group of five elephants reached Chichgohna late night and destroyed the crops. The villagers remained in panic due to the mischief of elephants and were troubled throughout the night. Let us tell you that for the last one week, a herd of elephants is roaming in the Marwahi forest division. At the same time, the forest department present on the spot is monitoring the elephants. An alert has also been issued in the surrounding areas.
