It has been told that Anil Dewangan, a resident of Sanjay Nagar Champa, along with his wife, daughter and son Rituraj Dewangan had gone to the barrage built in the Hasdev river of Kudri village on Friday morning to take a bath on a bike. Anil’s son Rituraj Dewangan was taking a bath sitting in a tube. There parents and younger sister were also taking bath nearby.

Rituraj’s tube got overturned while taking a bath and he drowned in the water. Seeing the son drowning, father Anil Dewangan went to save him, by then the child had gone into deep water. The father tried to find him, but could not find him. The father called the young man who was taking bath nearby and started searching for the child with him. After half an hour, the child was found, who was immediately taken by the family members to BDM Hospital Champa for treatment, where doctors declared him dead after examination.

Anil Dewangan, the father of the deceased, told that he used to make clothes from cobwebs. Rituraj was their elder son and daughter is younger, whose age is 6 years. This year the son went to the seventh grade. The father of the deceased said that there was no warning board installed anywhere near the barrage, due to which they could not remain alert. If there was a sign or board here, then their child’s life would have been saved.
