CG Protem Speaker: Ramvichar Netam became Protem Speaker, took oath in Chhattisgarhi language at Raj Bhavan

Raipur. Senior BJP MLA Ramvichar Netam took oath as Protem Speaker at Raj Bhavan on Sunday. Governor Vishwabhushan Harichandan administered the oath to him. Apart from Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma and Arun Sao, BJP MLAs and officials and employees of Raj Bhavan were present in this ceremony.

The swearing-in ceremony began with the national anthem and the state song. He took oath in Chhattisgarhi language. After this, Ram Vichar Netam said that the people of the state wanted the Protem Speaker to take oath in Chhattisgarhi. That’s why I took oath in Chhattisgarhi. We all have come to serve Chhattisgarhi Maiya.

This is how the political journey started

Ramvichar Netam is the sixth time MLA from Ramanujganj Assembly. He was born on March 1, 1962 in Sanawal village of Balrampur block of undivided Surguja district. He completed his graduation from Ambikapur PG College. During this period he was active in student politics. After completing his studies, he came back to Sanawal and started working as a school teacher. In the year 1990, he was elected MLA for the first time from Pal assembly constituency on BJP ticket. Pal Assembly is a reserved seat for Scheduled Caste and Tribe. Ramvichar Netam was elected MLA for the second time in 1993, for the third time in 1998, for the fourth time in 2003 and for the fifth time in 2008. He made a record of becoming MLA from his constituency for five consecutive terms.
