Actor Ranbir Kapoor was called for questioning by the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday in the online Mahadev Satta App case.

Actor Ranveer Kapoor has sent an email to the Enforcement Directorate asking for one week’s time. ED had summoned Ranveer Kapoor for promoting the online based Mahadev Satta app. Where the Enforcement Directorate (ED) team waited for him till 5 pm for questioning. Enforcement Directorate’s lawyer Saurabh Pandey said that Ranbir has asked for a week’s time from the agency through email. According to sources, the online betting app created by Saurabh Chandrakar was promoted by Ranbir Kapoor. It is alleged that for this, cash payment was made to him through Hawala. In this whole matter, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) team wants to know from the actor that for how long has he been promoting it and who had contacted him for this. How was the promotion fee given to him?

Summons will be sent twice more

During the conversation, the officers investigating the online betting app case said that the Enforcement Directorate will again send summons to actor Ranbir Kapoor. If he does not join the interrogation even after issuing summons twice, then the ED team can take Ranbir Kapoor into custody for questioning. At present they have asked us for one week’s time.

Raids were conducted at 39 places, crores of cash were found

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team is continuously taking action against people associated with Mahadev online betting app. On September 15, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) team raided 39 locations in Raipur, Bhopal, Mumbai and Kolkata and seized illegal assets worth Rs 417 crore from the hideouts of bookies. A huge amount of gold and silver jewelery and cash was recovered in the raid.

Rs 200 crores spent on marriage

In February 2023, Saurabh Chandrakar, the operator of the betting app, got married with great pomp in Dubai. Approximately Rs 200 crore was spent on the wedding. Private jets were hired to transport family and guests to and from the wedding. Apart from this, famous celebrities were called to perform at the wedding. For this wedding, wedding planner, dancer and decorator were hired from Mumbai. Their payments were made to them through Hawala channels. Rs 112 crore was transferred through hawala to an event management company in the name of R-1 Events Private Limited, a company of a person named Yogesh Popat, and hotel bookings worth Rs 42 crore were made.

These celebrities may be interrogated

Many celebs including Tiger Shroff, Sunny Leone, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Neha Kakkar, Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Ali Asgar, Vishal Dadlani, Ellie Abram, Bharti Singh, Bhagyashree, Kriti Kharbanda, Krushna Abhishek and Sukhwinder Singh attended this royal wedding. Were there and also gave their presentation. A video of which had also gone viral, ED can now interrogate these celebrities.

Earlier he used to sell juice, now he is a betting king.

Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal, residents of Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, are wanted in a money laundering case. Betting operator Saurabh once used to sell juice in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. If ED sources are to be believed, Chandrakar had thrown a party in a 7 star hotel in Dubai on 18 September 2022. Some Bollywood celebs also attended this party, for which they charged Rs 40 crore. In February this year, Saurabh had called his family members from Nagpur to Dubai via private jets. Bollywood celebs, wedding planners, dancers and decorators also reached Dubai from Mumbai. These 17 celebs had performed in this wedding. The Bollywood connection has now come to light in the investigation of this case which has been going on since December last year.
