Pradeep Borkar-Khairagarh. The program of installation of the statue of late MLA Devvrat Singh was completed in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district. A bronze statue of late MLA Devvrat Singh has been installed in front of Durga Chowk located on Civil Lines of the city at a cost of Rs 22 lakh. In this program of Bhoomi Pujan, MLA Yashoda Verma, District Cooperative Bank President Nawaz Khan, Raja Aryavrat Singh, Princess Shatakshi Singh, Municipal President Shailendra Verma, former MLA Girwar Janghel were present.
During this, MLA Yashoda Verma said that late MLA Devvrat Singh had an important contribution in bringing me into politics. During his tenure as Sarpanch, he constantly inspired me to enter politics by calling me sister, due to which I was able to become an MLA today. District Cooperative Bank President Nawaz Khan, recalling the politics he did with late MLA Devvrat Singh after the formation of Chhattisgarh, said that Devvrat Singh’s family did politics for the public and took Khairagarh to this stage.
