Ganesh Mishra-Bijapur. The date of assembly elections is near. The first phase of elections will be held in Bastar on 7 November. But looking at the activity of Naxalites, it seems that voting in Bijapur is going to be quite challenging. Because on one hand, Naxalites have boycotted the elections by issuing press notes and throwing pamphlets on many roads of the district, while on the other hand, thousands of villagers of Gangalur area have now come together unanimously against the elections, promising development, They have started boycotting the elections with the slogans of defeating BJP-Congress due to opposition and backwardness. According to the information received, on Sunday morning, hundreds of villagers from about 12 villages had gathered in Savnar area of Gangalur to boycott the elections. As soon as the information was received, the INH-News2News.in team reached the place after traveling a distance of about 40 kilometers. A large number of tribals were present there. The villagers said that they will not vote this time because the elected MLAs of BJP and Congress have been cheating them in the name of development for almost 24 years. BJP ruled for 15 years and Congress for 5 years but till date the basic facilities in their village have not been expanded as per their demand. They have been continuously demanding water, electricity, school-ashram, Anganwadi, hospital and corresponding streets and roads in the village, but till date their demands have not been fulfilled. Therefore, they are angry with the political party and their leaders and this time they will not participate in the voting.

Villagers are angry with breaking the promise

Let us tell you that more than 40 villages of Gangalur area are far away from development except Gangalur headquarters. Even basic facilities have not been provided in the name of development in these villages since 1998 till today, due to which the villagers are very angry with the government and administration and have unanimously agreed to boycott the upcoming elections.
