Death: Child died after treatment… Angry family members created ruckus in the health center.

Anil Upadhyay-Sitapur. The two-month-old child of Avinash Sarathi of village Sur of Sitapur in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh died after treatment. After which the family members created a ruckus regarding the doctor’s treatment. In the conversation, the aggrieved party said that the child was injected by the doctor posted at the Community Health Center during home treatment. After treatment, they were going home with the child, but the child died on the way before reaching home. After the death of the child, the relatives of the victim created a ruckus alleging negligence against the doctor. On the other hand, his mother is in bad condition crying after the death of the child. The relatives have demanded an inquiry into the entire matter, alleging negligence.

When Dr. JR Kurre was talked to regarding this incident, he told that the child was already ill and was undergoing treatment. When his health was very bad, the family members came to me with the child. I checked and told them that the child has pneumonia, he will have to be immediately admitted to the health center for treatment, but he did not agree and asked me to treat him. I injected the child during treatment then they took him away. Later they started making ruckus by accusing me.
