BJP leader and Congress MLA clashed with each other: Salim Raj threw the file towards Sharma during the meeting at the airport chaired by MP Soni

Raipur. There was a lot of uproar in the meeting of the Advisory Committee held on Saturday at Raipur Airport, the capital of Chhattisgarh. In the meeting, BJP leaders and Congress MLAs clashed with each other in front of MP Sunil Soni. During this, all the people present there were surprised. It is being told that the dispute took place between Consultative Committee member and BJP leader Dr. Salim Raj and senior Congress MLA Satyanarayan Sharma. Airport Authority, officials of different airlines and Raipur’s SSP Prashant Agarwal were also present in the meeting when the uproar took place.

Controversy over

In fact, in the meeting, BJP leader Salim Raj raised the issue of arbitrary and illegal recovery from the parking contractor. He said in a displeased tone that it takes 2 to 3 minutes for the passengers coming to the airport to park their car, unload their luggage and drop their relatives. The parking contractor starts charging money even for this much time, while it was decided in the meeting held earlier that no fee would be charged for up to 5 minutes. But despite this recovery is being done and no one has control over it. On this MLA Satyanarayan Sharma said that talk slowly. Salim got angry after hearing this. He said that my voice is like this only. Salim Raj said that CISF officials have not reached the meeting, referring to the liquor baron of Bhatia surname, saying that when this liquor contractor arrives at the airport, the CISF men guard him and take him out. Let’s pick up his luggage, under what protocol does this happen.

Salim Raj said about resigning

On being interrupted by Satyanarayan Sharma, Salim Raj got angry and said that when the issues related to the public cannot be discussed in this meeting, then I should not become a member of the advisory committee. He picked up the file and threw it towards Satnarayan Sharma. The glass of water also fell. Everyone present in the meeting was shocked. Salim Raj said that I resign from this committee and he left the hall. MP Sunil Soni and others present in the meeting kept trying to stop Salim Raj but he did not stop.

Fixed agendas are not followed: Salim

Salim Raj says that the meeting does not happen on time. The agendas fixed in the meeting are not followed at the airport, causing inconvenience to the passengers. Only one gate has been opened for entry into the airport. There is also VIP movement in this and when the crowd is more in the morning, then a long line is engaged for entry, but the second gate is not opened. I raised such issues many times in the meeting but no action is taken on them. Because of this I have decided to unsubscribe.

Discussion on new flights

At the same time, after some time, there was a general discussion in the meeting. Officials associated with the airline arrived and in the presence of officers of the Airport Authority, discussions were held regarding new flights. However, no decision could be taken due to the absence of the Collector of Raipur and the chief officers of CISF in this meeting. Expressing displeasure on this matter also, BJP leader Salim had said that when the responsible officers do not come in this meeting and no decision can be taken in this meeting, then there is no justification for this meeting. However, MP Soni was presiding over the meeting. During the discussion in the meeting, it was decided that instructions would be given to the contractor to resolve the existing parking dispute. There will be no recovery from those coming to the airport for 5 minutes. If the rules are not followed, the contractor will be blacklisted.

Agenda will be sent to airport authority officers and collector

Indigo Airlines officials told in the meeting that the flight to Lucknow, which was closed till May 24, would be started soon. Sunil Soni, who is chairing the committee, told about the inspection of the runway for international flights. He said that after May 24, officers of the Center can come to investigate it. There is also a preparation to start international flights in Raipur from this runway. New flights from Raipur to Delhi, Mumbai can be started by Air India. MP Soni has also talked about starting direct flights from Raipur to Amritsar, Jaipur and Patna. However, the agenda of this meeting will also be sent to the senior officials of the Airport Authority and the Collector. Due to increasing uproar in the beginning, no concrete decision could be taken.
