If the villagers believe, then these birds start coming with the auspicious sign of monsoon. The order of coming of these birds has been going on for generations. They have been watching them since childhood. The villagers consider these birds as angels. With whose arrival, there is hope of a good crop with good rains in the village. This is the reason that the people living in the village for 6 to 7 months take good care of these birds.

Birds travel from faraway lands…

These birds are found in abundance in Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. The breeding season of these birds also starts in the month of July. For breeding, these birds often look for places where water and sufficient food are available.

This bird is seen in very few villages in Chhattisgarh. These birds make nests in the acacia, peepal, banyan and tamarind trees of the village. Along with this, they also continue their love activities.
