Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar have given immediate approval to the demand of 50 percent exemption in road tax on behalf of the dealers considering it in the interest of the people of the state. Transport department secretary S. Prakash was also directed to implement the same. After which Auto Expo has been organized at Science College Ground, Raipur. As per the intention of the Chief Minister Mr. Baghel in the Auto Expo, the general public is getting the benefit of 50 percent exemption in road tax in the Auto Expo.

Chhattisgarh is the first state to fulfill the much awaited demand of the automobiles sector by providing 50% exemption in road tax on the purchase of all types of Lifetime Tax payable vehicles during Auto Expo 2023, the people of the state are taking full advantage of this Due to which a large number of vehicles are being booked at the expo every day. Since the Auto Expo will be operational till April 18, the last three days are left when the vehicle purchase of any segment can be availed.

Raipur Auto Mobiles Dealers Association has said that 50 percent exemption in road tax on sale of all vehicles in Auto Expo is being discussed in the whole country today. President of Raipur Auto Mobiles Dealers Association Vivek Garg and Secretary Kailash Khemani said that due to this discount, the customer is getting the benefit of 4 percent in two wheelers and 4.5 to 5 percent in four wheelers on the value of vehicles, due to which the amount of 3 thousand to 10 lakh They are getting benefits up to Rs. In the year 2022, from March 24 to April 14, 800 cars were sold, but in the same period this year, 3000 cars have been sold due to the expo. A total of 8125 vehicles have been sold till date at Auto Expo 2023.
