In DD Nagar police station area of Chhattisgarh, a miscreant tried to rob an elderly woman by pointing a gun in her mouth. A major incident was averted due to the woman’s wisdom. The miscreant had reached the woman’s house on the pretext of asking for a driver’s job. The incident is said to have taken place between 1.30 and 2 pm on Wednesday afternoon. Police are investigating the matter on the complaint of the woman. According to the police, 60-year-old Suniti Yadav, resident of Vipra Colony, has lodged a complaint against an unknown miscreant for trying to rob her with a gun in her mouth. Suniti told the police that after the death of her husband a few years ago, she lives with her son and daughter.
On the date of the incident, her grandchildren were at home, while the son and daughter had gone to work. Meanwhile, a young man knocked at the door of his house. On opening the door, the young man showed the photo of Aadhar card and driving license and started demanding the job of a driver. On this the woman asked the young man to bring the original documents along with two photocopies of Aadhar card and driving license. As soon as the woman was closing the door, the young man asked her for water to drink.

The woman told the police that when the young man asked her for water to drink, she gestured to him to drink water from the tap outside the house. While drinking water, the accused quickly took out the gun from his waist, turned around, placed it in the woman’s mouth and started pushing her towards the house. Meanwhile, the sound of a bike stopping outside the house was heard. Meanwhile the young man went out to close the door. Meanwhile, the woman pushed the young man and ran inside the house, closed the door from inside and informed dial 112 about the incident.

Immediately after receiving information about the incident, the police team reached the woman’s house with siren on. Hearing the sound of siren, the miscreant got scared and fled from the spot. The incident has been confirmed by the police of DD Nagar police station. Police suspect that the photocopy of the Aadhaar card and driving license shown by the miscreant to the woman while asking for a job may be fake. Police are saying that they will investigate the matter and arrest the criminal soon. Also, the police is busy in locating the miscreant through the CCTV footage installed around the incident site.
