Nitish Kumar Cabinet:Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a cabinet meeting today on Tuesday. This meeting took place in the Cabinet Hall of the Chief Secretariat. 14 agendas have been approved in the meeting. Many important agendas related to preparations have been approved in the state cabinet meeting.

Let us tell you that before this, a cabinet meeting was held last week also. During this meeting also, 14 agendas were approved. Preparations for the Lok Sabha elections have been started by the Election Commission of India. Under this, now the Bihar government has also given the green signal to its administrative preparations. In this meeting, the Cabinet also approved a special type of offer for paddy procurement for PACS and trade bodies.

Books related to election conduct will be published in West Bengal

In order to prepare for the upcoming Lok Sabha General Elections 2024, the Bihar Government has given approval to authorize Saraswati Press, a West Bengal Government undertaking, to print books related to election conduct received from the Election Commission of India, New Delhi. Along with this, ex-gratia grant amount payable in case of death or temporary disability of election personnel and security personnel during elections will be provided in the meeting. The formation of Bihar Revenue Employees Cadre Amendment Rules 2023 has been approved.

Big offer to packs and trade bodies

In this cabinet meeting, Bihar government has taken a big decision for the agriculture sector. Bihar Government has increased the amount of managerial grant already payable on the basis of supply of CMR (rice) to cooperative institutions like PACS and trade bodies engaged in paddy procurement work from Rs 10 per quintal from Kharif Marketing Season 2022-23 till June 30. On 100% supply, you will get Rs 30 per quintal. At the same time, for 100% supply till July 31, the amount of managerial subsidy will be paid at the rate of Rs 25 per quintal and for supply after that, it will be paid at the rate of Rs 20 per quintal.

In the Cabinet meeting, approval was given for service adjustment of seven Irrigation Circle Officers of Water Resources Department in the basic category post of Revenue Officer and equivalent grade of Bihar Revenue Service. Creation of eight posts of psychiatrist in eight central works has been passed to provide special medical facilities to mentally ill prisoners lodged in jails. The first statute of Bihar Health Sciences University has been approved.
