What did CM Nitish Kumar say

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said that he does not support any ban on journalists. He said that there is no information about boycott of journalists by India Alliance. When everyone gets complete freedom, journalists will write what they like. Are they controlling, have I ever done that. They have rights, I am not against anyone. At present those who are at the center have controlled some people. However, I am not with anyone.

BJP responded

After the statement of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, BJP has also reacted on this. BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala said that Nitish Kumar has taken an open stand on the boycott of journalists and has called it wrong. Poonawala said that Congress is embarrassed. Many others within the Bharat Alliance are opposing this fatwa of Congress. He said the Samajwadi Party violated that fatwa within minutes of its issuance.

India alliance had announced to boycott

India Alliance released the list of 14 anchors on Thursday, in which it said that it will not send its representatives to the shows of all of them. Controversy arose after this list and BJP termed it as Congress’s emergency mentality to control the media. Congress leader Pawan Khera on Saturday said it was wrong to call the move a ban, boycott or blacklist as it was a non-cooperation movement.
