The Enforcement Directorate has raided the house of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and all his relatives. Lalu Yadav is accused of land scam in exchange of job. Apart from Lalu’s family, ED had raided the places of relatives and RJD leaders. Now the ED has claimed that 70 lakh cash and lots of jewelery have been recovered from the residence of Ragini Yadav, including Lalu’s two daughters.

After the ED was accused of being harassed, the agency clarified that all legal formalities have been fully followed at the time of investigation. Along with this, no inappropriate behavior has been done to the children, women and senior citizens present in the premises. ED said that there is a four-storey bungalow in D-1088 located in New Friends Colony, Delhi. This bungalow is registered in the name of M/s AB Exports Private Limited. He told that the ownership and control of this bungalow is with Lalu’s son Tejashwi Prasad Yadav and family. This property was shown to be acquired for just Rs 4 lakh, but now the market value of this property has gone up to around Rs 150 crore.

According to the ED investigating officer, a huge amount of cash and ill-gotten gains have been used in purchasing this property. The ED suspects that some Mumbai-based companies have been used to finance the crime. However, this property is shown on paper as the office of MA B Exports Pvt Ltd and AK Infosystems Pvt Ltd. This property is used by Tejashwi Yadav as a residential complex. During the ED’s search, Tejashwi Yadav was found staying in this house. Cash worth Rs 1 crore has been recovered during searches in the Land for Job scam. Along with this, 1900 US dollars including other foreign currency, 1.5 kg gold jewelery and 540 grams of gold bullion have been recovered.

Proof of income of about 600 crores

The ED has also recovered some incriminating documents including property documents, land bank, sale deed and electronic devices held in the name of all the family members of Lalu and benamidars. According to ED’s investigation, evidence of income of Rs 600 crore has been found so far. In which fixed assets worth Rs 350 crore are also included. The ED alleges that benami lands were acquired by Lalu Yadav’s family at many other prominent places including Patna on the pretext of getting jobs in the railways. Whose present value is more than 200 crore rupees.
