Odisha Train Accident: A major rail accident took place on Friday night in Balasore, Odisha. In this train accident, three trains collided with each other. About 288 people have died in the accident so far. Indian cricket team batsman Virat Kohli has expressed grief over the train accident. Kohli has tweeted and prayed for the families of the victims. Virat Kohli is currently busy preparing for the final match of the World Test Championship to be played between India and Australia at The Oval in England.

Virat Kohli tweeted on the train accident and said, Sad to hear about the painful train accident in Odisha. I pray for the families who have lost their loved ones in the accident. I pray to God for the speedy recovery of the injured. Former cricketers Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Suresh Raina have also expressed grief by tweeting and wished the victims a speedy recovery.

About 288 people have lost their lives in this horrific train accident. According to PTI, officials in Bhubaneswar said that apart from 1,200 relief workers, 200 ambulances, 50 buses and 45 mobile health units are working at the accident site. The dead bodies are being taken to the hospital by tractors and other vehicles. Gas cutters were used to retrieve the bodies from under the derailed bogies of the train. Disaster management personnel and fire brigade personnel are trying to retrieve the bodies.

The accident, which took place at around 7 pm on Friday evening near Bahanga Bazar railway station in Balasore district, about two hundred and fifty kilometers south of Kolkata in West Bengal, is the fourth worst train accident in India so far. The Ministry of Railways has ordered an inquiry into this horrific train accident.
