Vice-President compares PM Modi to Mahatma Gandhi:Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has compared Prime Minister Modi with Mahatma Gandhi. After which he has come under the target of Congress. Congress has called this statement of the Vice President shameful. Addressing an event, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar talked about the similarities between Mahatma Gandhi and PM Narendra Modi. He called PM Modi the ‘Yugpurush’ of this century. After which the controversy has started.
In fact, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar had attended a program dedicated to Jain mystic and philosopher Shrimad Rajchandraji on Monday. There he said that I would like to tell you one thing, the great man of the last century was Mahatma Gandhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the man of this century. The Vice President further said that Mahatma Gandhi freed us from the slavery of the British by following the path of truth and non-violence. Whereas PM Modi has brought the country on the path of progress. Which we always wanted to see. Vice President Dhankar also said that both Mahatma Gandhi and PM Modi reflect the spirit and teachings of Shrimad Rajchandraji.
Congress called Dhankar’s statement shameful.
Congress leader Manickam Tagore has given his reaction on the statement of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. Criticizing his Vice President’s statement, he said it was “shameful” to compare Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Mahatma Gandhi. The Congress leader has also shared a post on his ex. In which he wrote – ‘If you compare with Mahatma Gandhi then it is shameful sir… We all know that there is a limit to sycophancy, now you have crossed that limit.
