Rahul Gandhi On Employment: Congress leader and former MP Rahul Gandhi has once again tried to corner the Central Government on the issue of employment. He said through a tweet that the employment opportunities in the Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) sector have reduced drastically. He accused the central government that the number of employment has decreased significantly during his tenure. For this, he has also provided a figure of the PSU sector.

Rahul Gandhi said in the tweet that the PSU sector used to be the pride of India and every youth of the country wanted to get a job in it. However, today these areas are becoming far away from the priority of the government. Also, questioning the government, he said that the employment in the country’s PSUs used to be 16.9 lakhs in the year 2014. In the year 2022, it has come down to only 14.6 lakhs. Is there a decline in the number of employment in developing countries?
Giving figures, the Congress leader said that 1,81,127 jobs have decreased in BSNL, 61,928 in SAIL, 34,997 in MTNL, 29,140 in SECL, 28,063 in FCI, 21,120 in ONGC. A false promise of 2 crore jobs every year was made by the government. Instead of increasing employment, more than 2 lakh jobs have been abolished.

Employment in danger in Amritkal
Rahul Gandhi surrounded the central government and said that now the jobs in these institutions have been doubled on contract basis. Increasing employees on contract basis is not an attack on reservation. Also, questioned whether a conspiracy is being hatched to privatize the companies. What kind of Amritkal is going on, where loans of industrialists are waived, and employment is clear in the PSU sector. Also, the Congress leader said that if the government pays more attention to these sectors, then there will be an increase in the economy and job opportunities.
