Rahul Gandhi: Summons have been issued against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in connection with his objectionable remarks on Union Minister Amit Shah. In this regard, a hearing was held against Rahul Gandhi in the MP/MLA court today on Saturday. The MP-MLA court has summoned Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on January 6 in a case in which he has been accused of making some remarks against Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The case stems from a lawsuit filed by Bharatiya Janata Party leader Vijay Mishra on August 4, 2018, in which he accused Rahul Gandhi of making objectionable remarks against Amit Shah. In this case, the court had earlier also directed him to appear, but he did not appear.

In this regard, Vijay Mishra’s lawyer Santosh Pandey said that Sultanpur’s MP-MLA court had summoned Rahul Gandhi on December 16, but he did not appear. He said that on November 18, Judge Yogesh Yadav reserved the verdict after arguments and fixed the next hearing for November 27 and had called Gandhi to appear on December 16.

Rahul Gandhi is accused of saying in a press conference held in Bengaluru on May 8, 2018, during the Karnataka elections, that the national president of BJP, which practices politics of honesty and cleanliness, is a murder accused. The defamation case against Rahul was filed on August 4, 2018.
