Pakistan Cricket: Mohammad Hafeez angry over Aamir-Imad’s re-entry into Pakistan team, wrote- RIP Pakistan Cricket

New Delhi. Mohammad Hafeez has targeted the selectors after Pakistan announced its 17-man squad for the five-match T20 series against New Zealand. The PCB selection committee has made some bold choices for New Zealand T20 which will be important for them ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024.

Fast bowler Mohammad Aamir and all-rounder Imad Wasim returned to the Pakistan team after taking a U-turn from their retirement a few days ago. Both of them were available for selection and the PCB selection committee decided to include them in the eleven as Haris Rauf is still recovering from injury and Mohammad Nawaz is struggling for form.

Aamir and Imad have returned to the team
Pakistan also included Usman Khan in the team. Earlier in April, the United Arab Emirates released the 28-year-old Pakistan-born player "Found guilty of breaching his obligations towards the Emirates Cricket Board"After being banned for five years from participating in Emirates Cricket Board events. Regarding this, former director of Pakistan team Mohammad Hafeez has posted a four-word post on X.

Hafeez targeted Pakistan’s selectors
Mohammad Hafeez wrote in his post, #RIP Pakistan domestic cricket. Actually, through this post, Hafeez is targeting the selectors, who have ignored domestic cricket and given a chance to bowlers like Mohammad Aamir, who has been jailed for fixing, in the team.

Aamir played for Pakistan 4 years ago
Aamir last played for Pakistan in 2020 and was due to retire from international cricket in 2021, but he took a U-turn after the recent change in the PCB management.

PCB chief selector Wahab said that Haris Rauf’s injury and Mohammad Nawaz’s poor form helped Aamir and Imad make a comeback to the senior Pakistan team. Both Aamir and Imad have undeniable match-winning ability and we are confident that they will deliver consistent strong performances to deliver the team’s objectives.

5 T20 series will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand in Rawalpindi from 18th April. This series will end in Lahore on 27th April.
