Odisha Train Accident: Railways has reduced the death toll from 288 to 275 in the Odisha train accident. Railways said that many bodies were mistakenly counted twice, due to which the death toll had reached 288. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has raised a question regarding this. Mamta said that it is not known on what basis the Railways has reduced the death toll of passengers. He said that 62 people of West Bengal died in this accident, while 206 people are undergoing treatment. 73 people from the state are admitted in various hospitals in Odisha while 56 people from West Bengal have been discharged from hospitals in Odisha. 182 people are yet to be identified, then how did the death toll come down.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the investigation of the Odisha train accident has been handed over to the CBI. Let us tell you that after this accident, the opposition is constantly demanding the resignation of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. The opposition says that the Railway Minister is also responsible for this accident, so he should resign from his post. Let us inform that even before this there have been many such big rail accidents, in which the ministers had resigned from their posts, for this reason the resignation of Ashwini Vaishnav is also being demanded. Meanwhile, taking this matter seriously, Ashwini Vaishnav has handed it over to the CBI for investigation.
