Nishikant Dubey Reaction on Mahua Moitra Eviction: On Friday, December 8, TMC leader Mahua Moitra’s membership of Lok Sabha was suspended on charges of cash for query. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey had accused Mahua Moitra of cash for query. He himself had complained about this to the Lok Sabha Speaker and demanded action.

After the action was taken against the TMC MP, now BJP leader Nishikant Dubey said that it was a sad day as an MP was expelled on the issue of corruption and national security.

He said on December 9, a day after Mahua Moitra was expelled from the Lok Sabha, that what is there to be happy about? It was a sad day. Let us tell you that today is the first reaction of the BJP MP after the expulsion of the TMC leader. He had refused to comment in this regard on Friday i.e. 8th December.

No proof, still guilty

Meanwhile, TMC leader Mahua Moitra compared her expulsion to being given death sentence by a kangaroo court. He alleged that the government is using the Ethics Committee of the Lok Sabha as a weapon to force the opposition to bow down. Moitra said she was found guilty of violating a code of conduct that does not exist and there is no evidence of cash or gifts being given to her.

CM Mamata Banerjee had condemned the decision to expel Mahua Moitra from the membership of Lok Sabha. He called this step a betrayal of the country’s parliamentary democracy.
