Balu Dhanorkar Passed Away: Suresh alias Balu Dhanorkar, the only Congress MP from Maharashtra, has passed away in Delhi today. Maharashtra Congress spokesperson Atul Londhe said that Balu Dhanorkar was undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital in Delhi for the last three days. He was only 48 years old. At the same time, Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat said that he was admitted to a hospital in Nagpur last week for the treatment of kidney stones. Later he was transferred to Medanta in New Delhi.

Political journey of Balu Dhanorkar

Congress MP Balu Dhanorkar was born on 4 May 1975 in Yavatmal district. He started his political innings with Shiv Sena. After working on many big posts with Shiv Sena, he stood for the first time from Shiv Sena in Vidhansabha elections in 2009 but he had to face defeat with a very small margin of votes. After this, in the year 2014, Bhadravati became Shiv Sena MLA from Warora.

After this, in the year 2019, he left the Shiv Sena and joined the Congress party. Expressing confidence in him, the Congress party gave him the Lok Sabha election ticket from Chandrapur Vani Arni and he was elected as an MP from this seat. He defeated senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Hansraj Ahir with a huge margin of votes. He was the only Congress MP from the state of Maharashtra. He used to have a deep hold in the party.
