Lionel Messi to Inter Miami: Recently, Argentina’s star footballer Lionel Messi has left Paris Saint-Germain and joined America’s Inter Miami Football Club. Although, earlier there was speculation of Messi going to his old club Barcelona (FC Barcelona), but he decided to go to Inter Miami. Recently, Inter Miami coach Gerard Tata Martino has said that playing in America is not Messi’s holiday affair.

Gerard Tata Martino, who was recently appointed Inter Miami coach, has said that playing in the United States is not like a holiday for Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets. Two Barcelona legends decided at the end of last season to move away from European football and join Major League Soccer in the USA. Lionel Messi’s previous club Paris Saint-Germain did not extend the player’s contract and his former team FC Barcelona failed to reinstate him. Messi may soon be seen playing in the Leagues Cup. This will be the first time Messi will be seen playing football for an American football club.
Coach Martino’s statement to Inter Miami
Speaking to the press for the first time since his appointment, Martino said both Messi and Sergio Busquets wanted to compete. Martino said, “Sometimes it happens that we come to America for Miami holidays. is not that the truth. But we want to play competitive football. They are not footballers who do not want to come here and compete.
Tata Martino, 60, coached Messi and Busquets at football club Barcelona in 2013-14. Martino said that he had begun talks with team co-owner David Beckham’s team even before Messi and Busquets were confirmed to be coming to Inter Miami. Martino said, “I’ve always found this opportunity attractive. The gifts will come after that.”
