Jammu-Kashmir: Continuous action is being taken to stop illegal activities in Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, the security forces have achieved great success. Security forces have exposed two terrorist modules in Baramulla in the last two weeks. Army officials themselves have shared information in this regard.

Giving information in this regard on Tuesday, SSP Amod Ashok Nagpure said that two terrorist modules have been exposed in Baramulla in the last two weeks. He said that first on September 14, during checking by joint police teams, the Indian Army noticed suspicious activity of two people in Paran Pillan village of Uri. When he was detained and investigated, illegal weapons were recovered from him. Whose names are Arif Channa and Zahid.

The SSP further said that two pistols with silencers, 4 pistol magazines, 5 live grenades and 29 pistol rounds were recovered from them. Further investigation revealed that these two persons were bringing these weapons from across the border on the orders of Pakistan-based handlers. Both of them were in contact with Lashkar-e-Taiba and were planning to execute a major terrorist conspiracy in India. After this, the security forces have made another important arrest, which is Aftar Ahmed Lohar, resident of Poonch.

SSP Baramulla Amod Ashok Nagpure, while sharing information about the second terrorist module, said that on September 21, Baramulla Police Station received information that Yasin Ahmed Shah had left his house with the intention of taking part in terrorist activity. After receiving the information, Baramulla Police, combined force of Indian Army and CAPF started searching for information in the entire area.

He told that on September 22, our joint forces arrested him in suspicious condition in Tapar Pattan. During his search we recovered a pistol, pistol magazine and 8 live cartridges. After interrogating him we came to know about his associates. After this we were successful in arresting Parvez Ahmed Shah. The army recovered 2 hand grenades from him. He told that we have arrested a total of 6 people in this action.
