India-Canada Row: The dispute between India and Canada is increasing. Canadian PM Justin Trudeau had accused India of conspiring to kill Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. India had rejected his allegations. Meanwhile, the Indian government has asked Canada to recall dozens of diplomats from the country. New Delhi has told Ottawa that it will have to recall about 40 diplomats by October 10.

Canada has 62 diplomats and India said it should recall 40 diplomats by next Tuesday. According to media reports, no official statement has been issued by the Government of India yet. Decline in diplomatic relations between India and Canada
Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was shot dead on June 18 in a parking lot outside a Gurudwara in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. After this, diplomatic relations between New Delhi and Ottawa reached their lowest level. The Indian government has said that Canada has not yet presented any public evidence to support its claim that Nijjar was killed.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had recently said that the ongoing problem with Canada reflects terrorism and extremism in the country. He also said that India stands ready to consider any relevant points shared by the Canadian side regarding this issue. This issue was raised by Secretary of State Antony Blinken during his meeting with Jaishankar last week.
