Independence Day: About 1,800 people from different walks of life have been invited as special guests from across the country on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day celebrations. All these guests will attend the ceremony organized at the Red Fort. The Central Government has taken this initiative in line with the ‘Jan Bhagidari’ approach. These special guests include over 400 Sarpanchs from over 660 vibrant villages. 250 from Farmers Producer Organization Scheme, 50-50 participants of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, 50 Shram Yogis (construction workers) of Central Vista Project including New Parliament House, 50-50 Khadi workers, in construction of border roads People involved, Amrit Sarovar and Har Ghar Jal Yojana as well as 50-50 primary school teachers, nurses and fishermen etc. will be involved.
At the same time, the Guard of Honor team of Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi) will include one officer each from the Army, Air Force and Delhi Police and 25 personnel, including one officer and 24 personnel from the Navy.
