Earthquake: We got to see a living example of how much damage can be caused by an earthquake in Turkey and Syria. More than 50 thousand people lost their lives in the recent earthquakes in these countries, but now the destruction caused by earthquakes can be avoided to a large extent. For this, Indian scientists have created an earthquake early warning system. With this system, 45 seconds before the earthquake, people will be given a warning on the phone. So that people can leave their homes and reach a safe place. This advanced system has been developed by the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. It is based on seismic sensor technology.
Explain that Earthquake Early Warning System is such a project which has been made by the scientists of the country according to the Indian conditions. This system has given successful warnings three times in the last four months. It can prove useful in evacuating people from the danger of earthquake. IIT Roorkee has installed a total of 170 sensors in this system from Uttarakhand to Nepal border. From the year 2022 till now, this system has given successful warning 3 times about 45 seconds before the earthquake.

IIT Roorkee scientist Dr. Pankaj Kumar told that this system has been made keeping in mind the conditions of Uttarakhand. Because, the possibility of an earthquake here is very high and there is also a risk of loss of life and property. The data of the places where the sensors are installed is recorded in a central server, which helps in issuing warnings immediately. Seismic data is also recorded from the seismic sensor, then an early warning system is developed, after that the data goes to the server and warnings are given after analysis. Presently this system has been made for Uttarakhand.
Let us inform that this system first detected the first case of 5.8 magnitude on November 8, 2022. The epicenter of this earthquake was in Nepal. After this, warning was given 45 seconds before the earthquake in Dehradun as well. Then, on January 24, 2023, the people of Dehradun were also alerted about the earthquake on the Indo-Nepal border 45 seconds in advance through the app. This system was also mentioned by Home Minister Amit Shah.
