Congress MLA Received Death Threats: Former Maharashtra cabinet minister and Congress leader Aslam Shaikh has received death threats. The person who has threatened to kill the MLA has identified himself as Goldie Brar. The caller said that I am Goldie Brar and Aslam Shaikh will be shot in the next two days.
Police registered the case
Brar alias Satinderjit Singh is a fugitive Canadian gangster, who is a close associate of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. He has also previously issued threats to Bollywood star Salman Khan. The police complaint was filed by Sheikh’s personal assistant and lawyer Vikram Kapoor, who also listens to calls on the MLA’s mobile phone. The complainant has handed over the caller’s two numbers to the police.
After receiving death threats against Congress leader Aslam Shaikh, Bangur Nagar police station registered a case against an unidentified person under sections 506 (2) and 507 of the Indian Penal Code and have started further investigation. Call details are being scrutinized to gather necessary information related to the threatening call.
