Aditya L-1 mission was launched

Aditya-L1 was launched using a rocket (PSLV-C57) from Sriharikota on September 2, just days after the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram lander on the Moon’s south pole.

Objective of Aditya L1 Mission

Aditya L1 mission will orbit in ‘Hello Orbit’ close to the Earth-Sun L1 point. The distance of this point from the Earth is about 15 lakh kilometers. The purpose of this Indian mission is to keep an eye on the Sun’s photosphere, chromosphere and corona, so that important information related to it can be sent to Earth.
