Terrorist History: Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai told in the Rajya Sabha yesterday, Wednesday, March 15, how terrorists have been controlled in the country. He informed that till March 15, 2023, 54 terrorists and 44 terrorist organizations have been banned in the country under the Unlawful Activities Act. Out of these organizations, there are four such organizations which are quite dreaded. Nityanand Rai said that the organizations which have been banned have been involved in one or the other terrorist incidents. These organizations have been included in the list of terrorists under the UAPA Act.

It includes Lashkar-e-Taiba, Tehreek-ul, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Mujahideen, Harkat-ul-Jihad-e-Islami besides cadres of various proscribed terrorist organisations. This organization is involved in many cases of infiltration attempts in Kashmir, smuggling of arms and narcotics, besides carrying out terrorist attacks.
  • Khalistan Tiger Force: The organization came into existence in 2011 as an offshoot of Babbar Khalsa International. It mainly works to promote terrorism.
