Delhi AIIMS created ‘brain’ using jelly, grapes and empty vessels, now it becomes easier for doctors to learn surgery

Delhi AIIMS: Delhi AIIMS has done another miracle. AIIMS has prepared a human brain (model) using materials like jelly, grapes and empty vessels. Doctors of the neurosurgery department are now using it to learn brain surgery. Earlier, testing was done only through books and dead body. Now its preparation will make it easier for doctors to learn brain surgery.

Brain made using jelly and grapes

In fact, sufficient cadavers are not available to learn brain surgery, due to which all doctors did not get a chance to practice their own hands. Seeing this deficiency, the doctors of Delhi AIIMS have prepared a model using jelly, grapes and empty vessels, which is exactly like the brain. With its help, doctors are learning surgery.

Getting help in learning surgery

Regarding this, Vivek Tandon of Neuro Surgery Department of AIIMS says that it is very important to teach the intricacies of brain surgery, because even a small mistake in it can take the life of the patient. In such a situation, only the picture of the mind is visible with the help of books. Due to which it is not clear to assess the arteries and other organs inside the brain. Now it is being used to teach doctors surgery in a better way.

Model prepared for Rs 500

This model has been prepared in a glass vessel using jelly, small fruits and other items for just Rs 500. This is also helping doctors in teaching surgery. He told that the doctor tries to reach the disease by inserting a needle in the jelly. In this, MRI of the brain is done like a normal operation. After that, the organs are identified and surgery is done by inserting a needle. By using this the doctor knows which organ is hidden behind which organ. We can see all that in three dimensions.
