TIME’s 100 Most Influential People List: The prestigious Time magazine has released the list of the 100 most influential personalities in the world. In this list released on Wednesday for the year 2024, Indian wrestler Sakshi Malik, World Bank President Ajay Banga, Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and actor-director Dev Patel have been included. Sakshi Malik has become the first Indian wrestler to make it to the Times list.
Let us tell you that when a group led by Sanjay Singh, close to Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, was elected the head of WFI, Sakshi had left wrestling. Wrestler Sakshi Malik was the face of protest against the wrestling federation in India along with Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia.
Wife of late Russian opposition leader Navalny also in the list
Time’s ‘100 Most Influential People of 2024’ also includes US Department of Energy Director Jigar Shah, professor of astronomy, and Priyamvada Natarajan, professor of physics at Yale University. Indian-origin restaurant owner Asma Khan and Yulia Navalnaya, wife of Russia’s late opposition leader Alexei Navalny, have also been included in the list by the Times.
