A complaint was filed against Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case on October 21, 2022 last year and he was formally convicted in the case on May 10. Imran Khan has been ousted from power after losing a no-confidence vote in his leadership in April. In the Toshakhana case, Imran Khan is accused of concealing gifts given by foreign officials during his tenure as Prime Minister. This includes both gifts and income from selling them.

The gifts include seven watches, six of which are Rolex. The costliest among them was the Master Graff Limited Edition, which cost around three lakh rupees. The Toshakhana functions under the Cabinet Division and collects gifts given to foreign leaders and government officials. According to the rules, it is necessary to inform the Cabinet Division about such gifts and items. However, when Imran came to power in 2018, he refused to disclose details of the many gifts he had received during his tenure. He said that doing so would seriously affect relations with other countries.
