Indian student murdered in Canada: He left home in an Audi and was shot by unknown assailants, body found inside the car.

Student Shot Dead In Canada: An Indian student was shot dead by unknown assailants in Canada. The incident took place in South Vancouver city. According to local police, the slain student has been identified as 24-year-old Chirag Antil. His neighbors had heard gunshots in the area. When they came out, they found his body inside the Audi car. Now Chirag’s family is arranging money through crowdfunding platform GoFundMe to bring the body back to India.

Left home with Audi and was murdered
Police said the incident occurred on April 12 around 11 pm. A call for help was then made from East 55th Avenue and Main Street. Here Chirag Antil was found dead inside his Audi car. After the incident, the police is busy investigating the attackers, although no one has been arrested yet. Romit, brother of the deceased student, told the media that when he spoke to him on the phone in the morning on the day of the incident, Chirag seemed happy. After this, Chirag took out his Audi to go somewhere, when someone shot him dead.
 
NSUI appealed to the Ministry of External Affairs for help
Congress’s student wing National Students Union of India (NSUI) President Varun Chaudhary has requested for help for Chirag’s family by tagging the Ministry of External Affairs in his post. He wrote- The government should help in the case of murder of an Indian student Chirag Antil in Vancouver, Canada. Urge the Ministry of External Affairs to monitor the investigation and provide speedy justice. All possible help should be provided to the student’s family in difficult times.

Chirag had gone to Vancouver from Haryana to pursue MBA
Chirag was a resident of Haryana. His brother Romit Antil told the local media that my brother was a person who helped everyone. We had very good relations. Used to talk daily. I last spoke to him before the incident. He was very happy, he never had any trouble with anyone nor did he quarrel with anyone. Let us tell you that Chirag reached Vancouver in September 2022. After this, he completed his MBA from University Canada West a few months ago and recently got a work permit.
