Severe storms and tornadoes that hit parts of the South and Midwest on Friday and Saturday morning have so far claimed 21 lives and left many more seriously injured. According to media reports, four people were reported dead after a severe tornado struck the city of Illinois on Friday morning. About 60 tornadoes have occurred in the South and Midwest parts of America since Friday and Saturday. All businesses and infrastructure have been destroyed by this tornado and storm in America. Along with this, taking serious note of the weather condition, the governor had declared emergency on Friday afternoon. At the same time, a state of emergency was declared in a different city, Missouri.
Damage to more than 2000 houses
More than 2,000 homes were damaged and destroyed by the storm in the city of Little Rock. The walls and roofs of the houses built there have collapsed. According to media reports, the US Meteorological Department had issued an alert to the cities of Wisconsin, Iowa and Mississippi, besides Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana and Tennessee, regarding the storm and tornado. The Mississippi city was also rocked by a devastating earthquake that killed at least 26 people and injured many more before the storms tore through the South and Midwest on Friday.
