Strong tremors of a 6.5-magnitude earthquake were felt in Pakistan and Afghanistan on Tuesday, causing people to come out of their homes and offices due to fear. This earthquake terrified the people. According to media reports, nine people died and 100 others were injured due to the strong tremors of earthquake in different cities of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan including Islamabad in Pakistan. Some houses have also suffered heavy damage due to this earthquake.
After this, the injured people were taken to the hospital, where their treatment is going on. The quake triggered landslides in some hilly areas, making it difficult for vehicles to move. Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said in a statement that he has asked disaster management officials to be alert to deal with any situation.
Simultaneously, Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson of the Taliban government in Afghanistan, tweeted that the Ministry of Public Health has ordered all health centers to be prepared.
