World Climate Action Summit 2023: PM Narendra Modi is on a tour of United Arab Emirates (UAE). The PM reached Dubai late on Thursday night. Where he was given a warm welcome. How long will the COP28 summit last?

The COP28 summit will run from November 30 to December 12 in the United Arab Emirates. UAE is presiding over this summit. PM Modi arrived here on Thursday and after attending this summit on Friday, the PM will return to India on Friday evening. According to reports, PM Modi will also address many important sessions here during his visit.

What is COP28 summit?

The World Climate Action Summit is the high-level segment of COP28. Many world leaders will participate in this summit to discuss ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and effectively tackle climate change.

PM Modi will address the opening session of the first World Climate Action Summit. Apart from this, he will also participate in three high level programs. The PM will arrive at the Leadership Pavilion of the COP28 venue at Expo City at around 10:30 am (local time). The leaders will then take a welcome photo with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. At approximately 11:30 a.m., there will be a traditional family photo of all delegates. PM Modi will speak at five events as part of the COP28 summit.
