Afghanistan Earthquake: Once again the earth has been shaken by earthquake in Afghanistan. This is the second earthquake in a week. According to the National Center for Seismology, an earthquake occurred at a depth of 50 kilometers on Friday i.e. today at 6.39 am. The intensity of the earthquake has been measured at 4.6 on the Richter scale. However, after this earthquake there is an atmosphere of panic among the people. However, no casualties have been reported.
Saturday’s earthquake caused devastation
Let us tell you that the earthquake that occurred on Saturday afternoon had caused severe devastation in Afghanistan. In this, more than 4,000 people lost their lives and more than 9 thousand were injured. The intensity of this earthquake was measured at 6.3 on the Richter scale. About five tremors were felt one after the other. At the same time, thousands of houses were turned into debris. Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA) spokesperson Mullah Sack had issued a statement regarding this earthquake. In which he had said that till now two thousand houses of 20 villages have completely collapsed due to the earthquake and more than four thousand people have died.
Taliban had requested for help
After this earthquake, the Taliban had requested for help from local organizations. He said that they should reach the earthquake affected areas as soon as possible so that the injured can be taken to hospitals, the homeless can be given shelter and the survivors can be given food. On his part, it was said that security agencies should use all their resources and facilities to rescue the people trapped under the debris. Taliban-appointed Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Abdul Ghani Baradar expressed his condolences for the dead and injured in Herat and Badghis.
