Meta Blue Tick: The controversial Meta company has now announced the expansion of the verification service for Indian users. Recently, the European Union imposed a fine on it in the case of data tampering. It allows its users to get verification badges on Facebook and Instagram. Users will be able to avail Blue Tick and some additional features by purchasing the verification badge. Actually, you will have to pay for using this verified service of Meta. You will be able to get the badge by paying its fixed price. Earlier Twitter has started its paid service.

How much does it cost to get the Blue Badge

Indian users will have to pay Rs 699 per month to get Blue Tick on Facebook and Instagram. This is the same for both iOS and Android app users. Web users will have to pay Rs 599 per month for this. Users will have to provide a government ID card to verify their account. Special facilities and special customer service will be available after the account is verified. Although, the customer support is available only in English, but it will be launched soon in Hindi as well.

Instagram and Facebook account verification process

First open the Instagram or Facebook app on your Android or iOS device.

Click on your profile which you want to verify.

Now go to Account Center from Settings.

Here you will see the option of meta verified. If you don’t see it, upgrade your app.

Select your payment option.

Use a government ID to authenticate yourself and follow the instructions.

After all the process is completed you will get verified badge on your account.

What will be the conditions for getting verified badge

A person must be 18 years or older to get meta verified in India. The company can also verify your previous posting history. The user must have an official government ID and both their photo and name match Facebook.

Public figures, celebrities, content creators and brands can apply for the Blue Verification Badge. This verification facility is only available in select countries including the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and India.
