Apple Watch Series :The sale of Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 in the US will soon be stopped. According to reports, there was a dispute between Apple and Masimo, a medical technology company, over a patent. After which the International Trade Commission (ITC) gave its decision. It has been claimed that the blood oxygen sensor technology of Apple Watch infringes several of their patents. The case is now under the 60-day presidential review period, which ends on December 25. Now there are also reports that the Cupertino-based tech giant is working on a software fix. So that an attempt can be made to measure the blood oxygen level.

According to media reports, Apple Company has issued a statement. In which it is said that Watch Ultra 2 and Apple Watch Series 9 will not be able to be ordered from the company’s US website after 3 pm ET on Thursday, December 21. Whereas, it will not be available at Apple retail stores after December 24. According to reports, this decision of ITC only stops Apple from selling the related products, which means that they can be purchased through websites like Amazon, Best Buy. Meanwhile, a Bloomberg report has claimed that due to the ban, the Apple company has started the work of changing the software related to blood oxygen. In this report, those sources of Apple have been cited who are aware about this. Keep information.

What is the matter?

According to reports, in January an ITC judge ruled that Apple had copied one of the five Masimo patents regarding the use of sensors to measure the amount of oxygen in the blood. However, Apple challenged this decision. Disagreement was expressed and the company also requested a full review from the Commission. After this, ITC issued an order in October. Which states that Apple could have been prevented from importing the affected Apple Watch. Due to which the ban has been imposed. After the order, a presidential review period of 60 days has started. In which the US President can intervene and veto the ITC ban. So far, President Joe Biden or his office has not taken any action on the matter. This review period is set to end on December 25 and if it is not changed by then, the sale of the Apple Watch 9 Series and Watch Ultra 2 is expected to be banned.
