Devotees coming here may have to pay Rs 500 to 1000 to have Baba’s Sparsh Darshan in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. Although the fee rates have not been decided yet, but this new system can be implemented as soon as possible.

The time of darshan of Baba Vishwanath in the sanctum sanctorum of Kashi Vishwanath temple is from 4 am to 5 am and in the evening from 4 pm to 6 pm. During this time free admission is given without paying any cost. This facility is made available after Mangal Aarti in the morning and evening. According to media reports, people visit Baba’s sanctum sanctorum even after this scheduled time.
In view of this, the temple administration has received complaints several times. Many devotees have expressed their displeasure over this situation. During this, the security personnel who are handling the system, they also have to face opposition from the people many times. In this episode, the temple administration is now moving towards implementing the new system.

A VIP arrangement already exists to visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple. It was implemented in the year 2018. Under this, if the devotees want to have darshan directly instead of standing in the queue, then a fee of Rs 350 was fixed. The devotees paying this fee could do Jalabhishek along with visiting the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. Sunil Kumar Verma, an official of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust Council, said that now the new system is being implemented for the convenience of the devotees. He said that the details regarding the fee would be shared soon.
