About 150 complaints were kept in the program, related to Irrigation Department, Development and Panchayat, Police, Health Service, City Local Bodies, Public Health Service, Electricity Company, etc. The Chief Minister patiently listened to each individual complainant and directed local officials to remedy the situation. He said that so far 5 public dialogue programs have been organized in the state and people’s grievances have been resolved. Today it is the sixth program. He said the government’s goal is to increase the Happiness Index while moving towards Ease of Living, and this can only be done if citizens’ lives are easy. The state government is committed to solving the problems of ordinary people.

Setting up a CM window to communicate with the public

The Chief Minister said former citizens had to come to Chandigarh HQ for their minor problems and grievances. To date, more than 13,000 complaints have been received through the CM window, of which more than 90 percent have been resolved.
